Welcome to Caldwell United Methodist Church! We are SO glad you are here!
We all know what it’s like to attend something you never have before, and we want to make your first experience here as warm and inclusive as possible! Let us answer some of those questions you might have before your first visit…
When should I come?
We invite you to come early to the service, either for Sunday School at 10:00 am, or at 10:45 for coffee, snacks, and fellowship. Services start at 11:00 am and end around 12:00 pm in time for lunch!
What do I wear?
At Caldwell United Methodist Church we welcome you as you are. You may notice anything from casual to formal dress among your church family. We invite you to be as comfortable as you wish to be!
What do we do?
At Caldwell United Methodist Church we have a modern traditional worship service. We are a multi-generational church, so you will see all ages of our church family involved in the worship experience. You will experience organ music and traditional hymns, along with occasional contemporary music and special music occasions. We welcome all to take part in communion, held on the first Sunday of the month. We hold Sunday School classes for all ages before the service at 10:00 am. You are invited to come before services at 10:45 for coffee and snacks for wholesome fellowship!
Where do I park?
You are welcome to park to the south or east of the Church, with additional parking in front of or behind the annex (directly east across the street from the church).
Where do I go?
You are welcome to use the main entrance, located at the top of the stairs on the south side of church, or our east entrance located on the main level, with elevator access directly inside! From there, we invite to you to the sanctuary and library, located just through the main doors and to your right, or if you are coming in from the elevator, you would go to the top floor and exit directly in front of you to enter the sanctuary. The library is located inside of the sanctuary to the north side. Sunday School classes are located in the basement of the church, for more information on Sunday School classes click here.
Who is the Pastor?
Caldwell UMC is currently lead by Pastor Jacob Maforo! To learn more click here.
Where do my children go?
During the service, we encourage children in 1st grade and up to enjoy the worship service with their families. During the service we have a time for a children’s message, where the children come to the front and are presented a lesson just for them and a fun snack! For children Kindergarten aged and younger, the nursery is available during the service, and before during Sunday School, in the east classroom located in the basement. You are welcome to stay in the nursery with your child, or to enjoy the service upstairs and leave your child with the nursery volunteer. You are also welcome to leave the service and sit in the fellowship hall in the basement, where you can still hear the entire service over the speaker system!
Where do I go when it’s over?
After services commence at 12:00 pm, you are welcome to stay to greet your brothers and sisters in Christ! On the third Sunday of the month we have a Mission Meal in the fellowship area in the basement, which is a free-will offering meal open for all, and the offering goes to a different mission opportunity each month. In the fall we have a birthday fellowship supper, where we celebrate all birthdays in our church family! Other fellowship meals and after church or midweek activities will be announced here on our website, or emailed to you! To get the latest church event and prayer chain information, click here.
